Do you want to create a life you’d love to live?

Is there a gap between where you are now and where you want to be?

Or even WHO you are and who you want to become?

The thing is – all the emotions, experiences, decisions and learnings from the first half of your life have made you who you are right now. We are ever evolving – if we let ourselves.

The big question is do you want to stay on the same path you are on now?

Is this your ideal life?

What do you want your future to look like?

Have you taken the time to reflect on this?

The first step on the path to achieving the future of your dreams is to know what that is!

Sounds simple right?

Small steps to a big vision

Thinking about our future as one big whole can feel overwhelming though. A good place to start is with envisioning an ideal day in your future. What would that look like?

  • What would you be doing?
  • How would you be feeling?
  • Where would you see yourself living?
  • Who would you be surrounded by?

Think of a day from waking up to going to bed – what would happen on an ideal day?

Spend 20 minutes or so writing down your thoughts on this.

You might find it brings up some emotions as you begin to identify the gaps between where you are now, and where ideally you want to be.

And that’s ok. This is helping fuel your desire to grow, evolve and follow your true self.

Challenge your thinking

Ask yourself things like

If I weren’t afraid I would….

Ask yourself:

What will happen if I continue down this path?

What won’t happen if I continue on the same path?

What wont happen if I do continue down the same path as I’m on today?

Take some time to process and answer these questions. It will get your mind and body whirring, stirring and thinking about what you truly want from life.

What’s the first small step you could take in the right direction?

See what you come up with.

Now take some time to reflect on your thoughts and scribbles. Come back to read your answers later to see if they feel true to you, or can you enhance them even more?

Instead of overwhelming you with things to think about all at once, I’m creating a series of blogs to take you through the process. Look out for part 2 of this life design blog series where I’ll share what you’ll want to do next.
